لقد هممت أن أكتب عن الشتاء كعادتي؛ لولا مقالة والدة أسيرٍ -آواه الله بين ضلوعها قريبًا يسيرًا- قرأتها؛ “لا تتعجلوا الشتاء؛ فإن لي ولدًا في سجن العقرب ليس لديه ما يستدفئ به”، فاستبدلت بالكتابة بكاءً مزاجُه دعاءٌ، ورجوت لفؤادها وأمثالها رحمة رحمنٍ رحيمٍ، ولأكبادهن برَد الرضا، ولأسرانا لطفًا ليس كمثله لطفٌ من لطيفٍ ليس كمثله لطيفٌ، يا طغاة مصر؛ “لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ”.
